Overview

You play as someone who’s just inherited their grandparents old, failing arcade. You are tasked with reviving the arcade, bringing it out of disrepair and build it into a thriving business.

Features

Definitive

  • In-game world builder, i.e The Sims or Planet Coaster.
  • Allow for Libretro support, allowing you to import your own custom titles for varying consoles.
  • AI to walk around and play in your arcade, bringing in profit.
  • Random events to add challenge to your game, such as popular reviewer’s to rate the experience, health inspectors to rate the food, themed parties where you are tasked with redecorating to fit the theme of the party
  • A multitude of custom titles created by myself
  • Multiplayer! This is a must, this allows you to assume the role of a visitor in other people’s arcades, allowing you to find inspiration for your own arcade, play games in their arcades, and give a greater sense of immersion
  • A ticket system, where you earn tickets as a player rather than as an owner. These can then be spent on items from the Arcade Store.
  • A way to inspect items around the environment, picking them up and allowing for full 360 rotation.
  • A breathing environment which changes over time.

Possibly

  • Mod.io integration, to allow for custom machines, designs, and games.
  • Choose your inherited design; this allows you to choose the look of the arcade when you inherit it, meaning different building shapes, placements and cost to redecorate.
  • In game partnership deals to allow for money in exchange for placing certain games down in your arcade.
  • Multiple locations. Go full Dave and Busters and create multiple locations across a number of states or countries. This creates a need for change depending on the demographic of the area. For example, an area in Japan may favour titles in the vein of Street Fighter more than Metal Slug, where as an American audience may prefer Metal Slug over Tekken.

Wishes

  • Permission to include actual titles, like real titles like Sonic and Street Fighter.
