Overview

The game plays like a normal wave shooter, with rounds and points and perks.

Gameplay

Player

The player gets 100 health and starts with a pistol.

Enemies

Lobster

The lobster moves relatively quickly, ever so slightly slower than the players run. It deals 40 damage per hit.

Lobster John

The lobster moves slow because he is massive. He’s built like a tank who’s arm is bigger on one side. He swings at you and deals 80 damage per hit which sends you flying.

Weapons

Locked to 4 weapons until we finish everything, then we can work on more weapons

  • SMG - Mid range, high fire rate, mid damage
  • Shotgun - Short range, slow fire rate, high damage
  • Pistol - Long range, mid fire rate, mid damage
  • Sniper - Long range, slow fire rate, high as fuck damage

All weapons are upgradable through the bullet hell game.
The weapon you hold when interacting with the bullet hell machine will be taken into the bullet hell game. Every upgrade you make to your weapon in the bullet hell game will be carried over into the main game. Some upgrades include a dragons breath shotgun, a bayonet, and various scopes for each weapon to increase range.

Overview

Top down shooter where you fight hoards of enemies.

Artstyle

The art style of the game will be very stylized.

Gameplay

The game will feature 2 modes:

Mode 1 - Primary Mode

  • Waves last x amount of time
  • After wave is finished, you can then spend your gems on items and upgrades for your character
  • The time during wave increases as you go up the waves
  • Game stops after round 20 and
  • Offers an exfil at round 10 to extract the weapon to beat the main game

Mode 2 - Endless

  • Waves are included, but there is a grace period between rounds where you have to get to a station randomly spawned into the map
  • You get 20 seconds of grace to gather any left over xp points and get to the buy station and get your upgrades

Upgrades

Each upgrade level is indicated by a colour

I - White
II - Green
III - Blue
IV - Purple
V - Yellow
VI - Red - Only accessible through Massive Upgrades
VII - Grey - Only accessible through Massive Upgrades

Player Upgrades

  • Health I - V - Increases Max HP
  • Damage I - V - Increases Max Damage
  • Speed I - V - Increases Walk Speed
  • XP Pickup Range I - V - Increases radius for XP to be picked up
  • XP Gain I - V - Increases how much XP a drop gives you

Universal Weapon Upgrades

  • Reload Speed I - V - Decreases how long it takes to reload your gun
  • Fire Rate I - V - Increases how fast you fire your gun
  • Range I - V - Increases the range the bullet can go before breaking
  • Ammo I - V - Increases ammo in gun
  • Dragon’s Breath I - V - Adds fire damage
  • Electric Shock I - V - Adds electric damage
  • Poison I - V - Adds poison damage
  • Knockback I - V - Increases how far back the enemy is knocked back when hit
  • Bullet Spread I - V - Increases the fire spread cone
  • Increased Bullets I - V - Increased bullets per shot

  • Gamers’ Breath I - V - On death, make a gas cloud that inflicts poison damage
  • Bullet Burst I - V - On death, explode and fire out 3 bullets in a random direction

  • Scythe I - V - Adds a scythe that circles your player
  • Drone Lobster I - V - Adds a lobster drone that moves around and kills enemies
  • Tornado I - V - Send a tornado spiralling around the player

Abilities

  • Dash I - V - Dash in a direction very quickly, start with this
  • Roll I - V - Roll through a hoard of enemies without taking damage
  • Jump I - V - Jump over enemies and areas of the environment, allows for vertical movement
  • Teleport I - V - Teleport to wherever your cursor is
  • Ring of Fire I - V - Ignite a ring of fire around the player

Massive Upgrades

  • Lobster God’s Blessing

    • 2x Damage - Doubles damage number
    • 2x Reload Speed - Decreases the time it takes to reload by double
    • 2x Speed - Doubles movement speed
    • 2x Fire Rate - Doubles fire rate number
    • 0.5x Range - Bullets travel half as far
  • Imagine…

    • Collect all the words to upgrade every stat by 2 levels, making the max level 7.
    • Word 1: Low
    • Word 2: Taper
    • Word 3: Fade
